DJ
Meaning: Disc jockey — someone who plays and mixes recorded music at clubs, parties, or on the radio.
In American party culture, the DJ is the person who controls the music and, by extension, the energy of the entire event. A great DJ reads the crowd and knows exactly when to play what. American DJ culture ranges from wedding DJs to club DJs to international superstars like DJ Khaled. 'DJ' is also used as a verb — 'Who's DJing tonight?'
