Catch a body
Meaning: To defeat, dominate, or verbally destroy someone so completely that they're metaphorically eliminated.
While the phrase originally had violent connotations, in modern mainstream usage it almost always means dominating someone in an argument, competition, or performance. A rapper who 'catches a body' on a diss track has verbally destroyed their opponent. An athlete who 'catches a body' has embarrassed a defender with a crossover or dunk.
