Meaning: A rhythmic chant sung while marching or running in military formation.
Military marching songs that keep troops in step and build morale. Usually call-and-response format. In civilian use, 'cadence' can refer to any work rhythm or the pace of communication. 'Running cadence' and 'marching cadence' are specific types.
