Meaning: A shopping cart at a grocery store.

In the South, the thing you push around at the grocery store is a 'buggy,' not a 'shopping cart' or 'cart.' This is one of the most reliable markers of Southern speech and a perennial topic in regional dialect surveys. The line between 'buggy' and 'cart' territory runs roughly along the Mason-Dixon line.
